Making my flat look more Autumnal – DIY Post

Autumn is here!!!

And to celebrate I decided to make my flat look more Autumnal, But I got a bit stuck when I saw some of the prices of things. So, I took to Pinterest and decided to make my own.

The first thing I did was order some fake leaves off Ebay (real ones have spiders so..), they were around £3 for 100.

Once they had arrived I got some string and a pair of scissors and began to make some bunting by cutting holes in the string and threading the string through.

I also made a smaller piece of bunting, this time using a glue gun to stick the leaves on.

For my next project I got a jar (an old sauce one) and using the glue gun I stuck some of the leaves to it.

Then I tied some string around the top, perfect to use as a candle holder.

With the leaves I had left over, I arranged them in a bowl and tossed in a few conkers. I added some cinnamon sticks that I bought from Hobby Craft to make them smell nice.

For my last decoration I got some flowers and added some sticks to them, then arranged them on my shelves with two pumpkins either side. (The sparkly ones from ASDA, and the other is from Wilkos)

All together I spent just over a tenner and I really enjoyed getting creative.

Bye for now
