My January Favourites

It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a favourites post and as its recently been Christmas and my Birthday I’ve accumulated quite a few new products.

So, I thought I’d do a January favourites post as I love reading these kinds of things and I want to try and include a variety of posts on my blog.

My Beauty Favourites

This January I’ve been struggling a lot with my skin. It just seems to be dry all the time and my make up doesn’t always sit on it properly, so I’ve been experimenting with different skin products.

L’Oreal Pure Clay mask

I’ve been wanting to try and use face masks more regularly to see if they will help my skin a bit more. I saw these on offer in Boots and picked up the Purity Mask. Your supposed to apply it 2-3 times a week and it purifies and mattifies skin.

So far its seems to be working quite well, my skin feels nicer and also looks more nourished after using it.

Garnier SkinActive Moisture bomb

I’d been looking for a good mouisteriser to apply before I go to bed and also saw this one on offer in Boots.

It’s a really nice texture and doesn’t smudge if you rub your eyes in your sleep. (I’ve found other night creams quite thick and easily smudge into your eyes)

Snow Fairy Body Wash

Lush do the most amazing smelling body washes but I always find them really pricey. Jay kindly bought me some of this for my Birthday and I LOVE it!

The smell is just amazing and I can still smell it on me slightly after I’ve dried off.

If your looking for a new body wash to try, I would definitely recommend this.

Ted Baker hand cream

I suffer quite bad with chapped and dry hands in winter, so I’m always on the hunt for different hand creams.

I got this one for Christmas and it works really well. It’s nice and thick and rubs in really easy. It also smells good which is essential for hand creams.

Kiko Milano BB cream

I’ve never tried BB cream before and this one by Kiko Milano is great. It gives my skin a bit of colour and makes me look more human. If you suffer from ghostly pale skin like me, BB cream is definitely worth a try.

Burt’s Bees lip balm

This is one of the best lip balms I have ever used. It moustiries your lips and also stay on there so long. I find other ones just done last long and you have to constaanlty re-apply but this one just stays there.

They do a have lots of flavours and I chose Wild Cherry which smells and tastes so good.

Victoria Secret Sheer Love travel perfume

I am obsessed with these travel perfumes by Victoria Secret! I always have one in my bag, and they’re perfect to take on a night out as they easily fit in a clutch.

This one in Sheer Love is my current favourite.

Kiki Milano Velvet Passion lipstick

This is my new daily lipstick. I got it for Christmas and I just love it so much. It’s a dark colour but it’s not too much of a statement, and it’s also matte.

If your a lover of dark lips like me, you should give this one a try.

L’Oreal Paris False Lash Superstar X Fiber

I needed a new mascara so I just randomly picked up this one when I was in boots. It works so well and actually makes me look like I have eye lashes.

It has two different brushes and you apply number 1 then 2 to amplify your lashes.

Ciate Fierce Flick Eyeliner

I got this in a BirchBox a while ago but I just had to include it in this post. It honestly lasts so long on your eyes. It’s that good I actually struggled to get it off once so make sure you you don’t sleep in it. (That’s what I did)

Home ware favourites

Mermaid Bed quilt

This is my new favourite bed quilt. It’s just so pretty and comfy and makes my room look so good.

I got it from George at Asda and it was so well priced at £11.00. They have such noce bed quilts it at the moment and all at goof prices.

Paperchase mini fake plant

I’ve had my eyes on this little plant for a while and when I saw them reduced to £2 I had to buy two.

They look so cute and just add a nice touch of decoration to a room.

Favourite Songs

My favourite song for January has to be I touch Myself by the Divinyls. I don’t know why but I just love it so much.

Another one of my favourites is Just Hold on by Louis Tomlison. Its such a deep and sad sing but its amazing and I listen to it at least once a day.

Favourite Films

My first favourite film of January is Suicide Squad. I know it came out ages ago but I only just got around to watching it.

I’ve always been a Marvel person but this films makes me want to be more DC. It’s such a good film and I need to watch it again, like now.

Harley Quinn and the Joker are just the most romantic couple ever in a really disturbed and evil way but I just love it.

What to expect when you’re expecting is my other favourite film of January. I only watched it a couple of days ago but it has to go on here because I fell in love with it.

I really didn’t think it would be that good as it’s about pregnant women but there’s so much more to the film and I would definitely recommend watching. It’s also currently on Netflix.

Favourite TV Show

For some reason I waited so long before watching this but I started just in time for the new series. My favourite TV programme of January is Sherlock.

It’s just amazing and I don’t know why I never watched it before. I just love Sherlock and John and I really hope there’s more episodes soon.

That last episode in the new series was such a mind game.

And that is all for my January favourites! I hope you liked this post and have a good year so far.

Bye for now
