Majorca is a beautiful place on the east of Spain which I last visited when I was a baby. I was thrilled to be spending a much needed relaxing holiday here with my family.
I stayed at the Hotel Sol Barabdos, such a lovely hotel, which is situated on the outskirts of Magaluf.
Magaluf is an interesting place. I know it has a reputation for being a ‘party’ holiday destination but it was out of season when I went, so not many clubs were open. I could see places being worked on ready for the summer months.
As I was on holiday with my family, we avoided the busy Magaluf areas and explored other places instead.

Palma
We visited Palma the capital city of Majorca which is home to a huge cathedral, the most beautiful gardens and little hide-away areas.
This was my favourite place we visited. It was more cultural compared to Magaluf, had a lot more to do and the most stunning harbour.
The streets are quite windy and full of shops, I’d recommend using a map as it is easy to get lost in them.
Palma is also home to friendly restaurants serving delicious tapas, perfect for refuelling after a day of exploring the city!

Portals Nous
Located to the west of Palma is Portals Nous. It has a reputation for attracting more of a wealthy crowd and I could see why.
The harbour was filled with brand new shiny yachts, I can’t even begin to imagine how much they cost!
We stopped off for a drink at a nearby bar and the prices were a little higher compared to the other places we visited. Portals Nous is lovely place though, I would have loved to have stayed there. Maybe one day!
Palma Nova
One more place I went to was the town of Palma Nova, which is located just around the corner from Magaluf.
This place had such a pretty beach and a crazy golf course with the most picturesque scenery! I love to play crazy golf whenever I’m on holiday and this one was far more interesting than the UK seaside ones I’m used to.
Katmandu Park
On my last day I had some spare time before we needed to be at the airport, so we decided to go to Katmandu.
Katmandu is kind of like a big adventure park. Its got child friendly activities, a 4D cinema experience and a ginormous climbing apparatus, which is what I went on. (If you don’t like heights I do not recommend going on this).

Majorca has some really beautiful places and I would love to visit again and explore some different parts.
Have you ever been?
