Goodbye August, Hello September

I can’t believe August is over and we are already two days into September, its’ crazy! I got up to so much in August which wasn’t hard as July for me was so boring.

I felt so much more positive, I focused more on hobbies, including blogging, which just kept me feeling motivated.

So to bid farewell to August I thought I’d share some of my favourite moments:

The first thing I did in August was got out for some much needed drinks with Jay, we do love going for cocktails, especially at The Orange Tree.

I attend the Derby Bloggers Brunch organised by Monet Brooks. I’d been looking forward to this for ages as I love getting to know other bloggers. Monet had even bought Unicorn Poo cookies for us made by Angels Sinfully Delicious Cookie Co. and were delicious!

I had a lot of friends Birthday’s in August and I took a trip to Skegness for one of them. I haven’t been to Skegness in years and it was nice to eat chips on the beach and waste money on 2p machines, I didn’t win a thing.

For my Best Friends birthday we went for a meal at the Farmhouse in Mackworth and then after we surprised her with balloons and cupcakes at The Orange Tree with some old friends she hadn’t seen in a while.

After having about a 6 month break I finally got back into scrap booking!

I always find it hard to keep on top of scrap booking but I just love looking back on them and I know in a few years time I will cherish them.

Although, I have now filled my current one up and need to get a new one.

I attended a party and went on a night out and got to wear my summery outfits that I’d been dying to wear for ages,

I did a car boot sale with my mum and sister which was interesting, we made about £25 each so not bad for a mornings work.

The thing I realised with car boot sales is that you have to sell everything really cheap or people aren’t interested. If you have nice clothes or purses definitely try eBay. My mum sold my sisters Ralph Lauren shirt for £1 and she went crazy.

I finally tried the Unicorn cocktail from Walkabout Derby which I loved, although it was a little sticky.

Me and my family visited Rufford Abbey which is such a lovely place, I will definitely be going back there when it gets closer to Christmas as the place looks even more beautiful.

I was invited along to Byron Burger to do a review of them to celebrate their 10th birthday. I absolutely loved it and writing a blog post about it after, I think I might try and to do some more foodie posts.

I also started a new thing where I take Ted for a walk every morning. I’ve not been doing as much exercise as I’d like to lately so this has helped me to feel a little healthier.

And finally for the last week in August I went on holiday to one of my favourite places, Cornwall. I absolutely love it down there and was so sad to come back home yesterday. I got up to so much which I will write in another post so this one isn’t incredibly long.

Although I’m sad August is over, September means that Autumn is coming and I am so excited for that.

I ‘m already brainstorming some Autumn themed posts to write and I am determined that this year will be the best Autumn ever!

I hoped you liked this post

Bye for now
