Things are finally starting to get interesting! I had such a slow and boring January and didn’t really get up to much, but February definitely picked up and I had some really fun days.
I attended my first blogging event of the year – Las Iguanas invited me along to try their new menu and it was delicious, and so were their cocktails. You can read my full review of the evening here.
I’ve been on some very nice (and very cold) dog walks. One of my favourites ones was with my parents and we ended up in the Japanese River Gardens at Newstead Abbey.
They’re so pretty, would definitely recommend a visit if you’ve never been.
For an early Valentine’s Day me and my boyfriend decided to take a day trip to Hull and go to The Deep.
What we didn’t realise until we got there was that it was half term and the queue was all the way out the door, so we decided to explore Hull a little first and come back later.
We had a wander round the shops and the marina, I’d never really looked around Hull properly before and I really enjoyed it.
Luckily when we returned to The Deep later on there was no queue so we got to walk straight in. I do love aquariums.
Dolcino in Nottingham kindly organised a bit of a blogger evening which I was lucky enough to attend.
They gave us a whole range of treats to try, including a Oreo Milkshake and a Unicorn Sundae. I will definitely be returning again soon, their gelato was incredible!
The following day was the Derby Blogger’s Brunch, sadly the last one Monet will be organising before she moves away.
It was held at Bear on Irongate, a hipster coffee shop kind of place which was very busy.
The staff were so friendly there, it’s a great place to go for a coffee or a quick lunch.
And finally my biggest highlight of the month, I got a new job! It’s not the most fun job, but it is kind of using my degree and it could open more doors for me in the future.
That’s it for my highlights, I hope you’ve had a nice February.
Bye for now
