What I Got Up To In June

How is it that another month has just flown by?! I’m not okay with this, the year needs to slow down and take a minute.

Once again I started the month with a head full of blog posts to write and tons of inspiration, and once again I of course failed to put fingers to keys and write one.

However I remain optimistic that July will be the blogging month for me!

Anyway, here’s a quick round up of what I got up to in June:

Cornwall

At the beginning of the month I was on holiday in Bude, Cornwall. I have a huge love for anywhere in Cornwall, I feel like it’s the only place I can truly relax.

I spent my days going on dog walks, reading Harry Potter on the beach and attempting to surf.

My favourite kind of holiday.

Rub

Rub in Nottingham kindly invited me along to try their new brownie and ice cream bar.

I arrived a little late and was handed a huge platter of food just for me (I had to take some of it home), but I did mange to save space to try their desert which was amaaazing.

If your ever in Nottingham, I highly recommend a visit. They also do great cocktails!

Sheffield

I took a weekend trip to Sheffield with my boyfriend to visit an old friend from uni. I’ve never visited the city centre before, only Meadowhall, and I love the place.

We stayed in an Airbnb (my new favourite website) only a five minute walk from the centre, and spent the weekend exploring the city and drinking.

If your looking for somewhere to eat, I recommend The Harley, they do the most amazing burgers with great veggie and vegan options.

If your a fan of vintage shops, Sheffield is definitely the place to go. I spent Sunday walking all over the place hunting them down, there were so many.

And finally

I thought I’d end this post with one final thing that happened to me in June, I got a job offer.

Now I have to decide whether to leave my current job where I’m settled, work with nice people and have a great manager for a job that could potentially grow my career.

I know I should take it, I’m just really sad to leave my current job so soon. I’ve never felt so welcomed and well respected by my colleagues before. Ahhh decisions decisions.

Hope you had a nice June

Bye for now
