Being healthy can make a difference

One of my New Years resolutions this year was to cut down on the junk food and eat more healthy. And I’ve stuck to it kindofish.

Since eating more healthy foods I’ve noticed a difference, a good difference 😛 I have so much more energy and fell so motivated to do things. I also feel so much healthier in myself.

I still do have the occasional binge out, like the dominoes I had last night with my friends but I am trying!

I thought in this post I would tell you the changes I have made to make my lifestyle more healthy.

1) Snacks.

I used to eat so many unhealthy snacks because they’re easier to take out with you and they taste sooooo good! Now I have snacks that still taste good but are better for you such as: cereal bars, little tubs of fruit, propercorn and apple sprinkled with cinnamon. Also if I’m at home I’ve started making smoothies! (I will be posting recipes soonish!)

 2) Food

Foodwise I’m trying not to eat really late at night (like I used to) and make sure all my meals contain some sort of veg or salad. One of my current favourite things to cook is stirfry as they’re cheap and take about 5 minutes to cook. I like to make them before I go to work as they’re filling and easy to cook. I will be posting some healthy food recipes as I try them 😛

I am also trying to have take away only once a month and avoid McDonalds as best I can!

3) I joined the gym!

I haven’t been to a gym in years and I have joined one again! I try to go at least twice a week, usually more and go for around an hour/ an hour and a half, depending on how much time I have.

I know gyms can be expensive and there are cheaper ways to exercise but it seems to be working for me at the moment.

4) Sleep

I am trying my hardest to get around 8 hours of sleep at night and try to go to bed earlier so I can wake up earlier. I sometimes feel like I’ve wasted most of the day if I don’t get up till 11. This is hard for me to do at weekends though as I don’t get back from work until 3:00am.

So these are all the changes I have made so far and I am hoping to stick to them as much as possible!
