A weekend in Birmingham

Last weekend I headed up to Birmingham to celebrate my friends 21st birthday.

We booked a room at Hatters Hostel which is just a 15 minute walk from the city centre.

I’d never stayed at a hostel before and wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was nice and we had our own bathroom (I was worried we’d have to share)

We managed to get a three bedroom room and it only cost us about £20 each.

We arrived at the hostel at 2:00pm and went straight out to the Bullring which is the massive shopping centre there and has loooooads of shops, including a Forever 21 and a Selfridges!!!

I spent a lot of money. (Which you will see in another post)

We literally shopped all day until they closed, and by that time we were starving so went to Pizza Express to refuel.

I ordered the Pollo Pesto which tasted amaaaazing! I would definitely recommend trying.

After that we went back to the hostel and got changed before going out for a few drinks.

I wore this dress from Missguided and my classic New Look heels:

We didn’t stay out to late as we had to be up at 9:00 am the next day.

We did have breakfast included in our stay at the hostel but by the time we went down it had all gone.

So we had a walk through the city centre instead to find somewhere.

Luckily it was a really sunny day so we didn’t mind having a walk around.

We eventually decided on All Bar One which is not to far from the canal.

I ordered the eggs florentine which was so good! I wasn’t a fan off the seeds on top though.

After breakfast we walked along the canal before going to the sealife centre

I absolutely loved the sea life the centre! If you go soon you have to watch the Octonauts 4D adventure (its unmissable)

I had such a fun weekend in Birmingham, it is officially my new favourite place to shop.

Bye for now x

  1. Nice roundup of the day and lovely photos. Lots more to see in Birmingham and if you’re a foodie – seems like it – you’ve got to try places like Fiska, Treat, Jake’s Coffee Box next time you’re in Birmingham – I’ve reviewed them and some more on my blog.

Also the custard factory area is quite colourful and artistic with a lot of independent shops. Cheers!
